Fable 5 is the best model you can run inside Claude Code right now.

It is also locked behind the Max and Team plans, and the Pro plan cannot use it.

Claude Fable 5 is limited to Max and Team Premium plans at 50% of limits. Pro and Team Standard users pay through usage credits.

Even if you have the Max & Team plan, the limit finishes so fast.

Fable 5 usage limit hit 100%. Next reset in 3 hours 50 minutes.

I found an alternative that beats it on some tasks and costs 3x less. Kimi K3, a new Chinese model.

Kimi K3 vs Claude Fable 5 across Terminal Bench, Program Bench, and SWE Marathon.

It is also open source, so you can download it and run it on your own machine.

Then, three days after launch, they stopped taking new subscriptions.

Kimi.ai paused new subscriptions three days after launch. Existing capacity was already maxed.

Demand pushed them past capacity. If you went looking for Kimi K3 this week, you hit a wall.

There is still a way in. It runs inside Claude Code, on the terminal you already have open.

Claude Code v2.1.212 running on moonshotai/kimi-k3 through OpenRouter.

And I am going to show you how.

Then we are going to build something with it. An AI CV builder, modeled on Rezi.

Rezi: $9.6M all-time revenue, $259K MRR, 10,742 active subscriptions.

Rezi has done $9.6M in revenue and pulls $259K a month from 10,742 active subscriptions.

One founder started in 2015.

You do not need ten years. You need one prompt.

The CV Builder folder. App files, build prompt, and setup notes in one place.

That is the whole build. One file, 04-build-prompt.md, pasted into Claude Code running on Kimi K3.

Or skip the build and download the finished app. Both are in the folder.

But first, look at what came out.

What Kimi K3 Built in 30 Minutes for $0.402

Here is what Kimi K3 built in 30 minutes, from one prompt.

The AI CV builder Kimi K3 generated from a single prompt in 30 minutes.

It scores a resume against ATS rules, shows which keywords are missing, and fixes them one at a time. Landing page, scoring engine, pricing tier, all of it.

The cost?

Total API cost for the entire build: $0.402.

$0.402.

That is the entire build.

Cloning proven apps is a real strategy.

Cloning validated apps is an established playbook, not a shortcut.

This founder did it twice and built a $30M business on it. The idea was already validated. He just shipped a better version.

That is what the file in this article is for. Take the CV builder, or follow the same steps and point it at any SaaS you want to rebuild.

What We'll Build With Kimi K3 in Claude Code

We’ll build a resume builder that runs on ATS logic instead of templates.

The landing page Kimi K3 generated. ATS scoring engine, upload box, and social proof bar in one pass.

Upload a CV and the engine scores it against 23 deterministic checks. Content, format, optimization, best practices.

The ATS engine scored this resume at 46 and flagged six issues.

This one came back at 46. Missing keywords, weak bullet verbs, no quantified results, six issues in total.

Then you click “Fix 6 issues with AI.”

After one click on "Fix 6 issues with AI," the score moved from 46 to 60.

46 to 60. The AI rewrites the flagged sections and rescores the document in place.

It ships with a pricing page too. Free, $29, $99.

Three pricing tiers shipped with the app. Free, $29, and $99.

Three tiers, feature comparison, checkout flow. Nothing left to wire up.

How Do I Run Kimi K3 Inside Claude Code?

You can do it in three steps.

The first two get the app running on your machine.

The third one is there if you want to build it from scratch instead, using the same prompt Kimi K3 ran.

First, let me give you the link to these files.
