The 5 AI Subscriptions I'd Rather Cancel Netflix For
Claude, ChatGPT, Midjourney, Elevenlabs, Quillbot, their use cases and evolution.
In the era we are living in, amazing AI tools are being introduced daily. While some of them really amaze us, they might not be worth paying for. In this instance, I would like to explain the AI tools I use daily and some of their evolution during the period that I’ve used.
Claude
Claude was introduced after ChatGPT and was created by former OpenAI employees. I recall testing them for the first time a couple of years ago.
They were first published on Canvas and led developers to run applications inside the conversations. They called them artifacts.
Their best choice is to use JS/React as a primary coding tool, which makes them exceptional while developing applications. That’s why no-code app builders like Cursor, Windsurf, or GitHub were great with Claude models.
And right after that, they published Claude Code, which is now better and cheaper than Cursor.

Recently, I’ve developed Web APPs with Claude. After all of these developments, now ideas could come into a form, in just a few minutes. It is a fantastic era to live in.
All in all, Claude would be chosen as my #1 AI tool, not only for its no-code features, but also because its models are considered better than ChatGPT.
The main concern is pricing and usage limits, as Claude’s quota can be exhausted within just a few hours. On the bright side, questions are solved much faster than with other LLMs.
ChatGPT
Even if Claude’s intelligence surpasses ChatGPT’s in my opinion, it is still regarded as a great tool, and moreover, it is recognized as an industry leader.
I’ve developed numerous custom GPTs for my clients in the past, which I explained in this one, but my wife and I are using ChatGPT for daily tasks such as cooking, health research, and even translations between languages.
Custom GPTs are similar to AI Agents; they are pre-defined LLMs but also have additional skills like web browsing, image generation, and code execution, which you can select while creating them.
Also, we’ve customGPT GPTs available for our subscribers to automate mundane tasks like writing, prompt engineering, or educational purposes like Learning AI. If you are interested, feel free to subscribe. The welcoming message will include the links to them.
As a result, I don’t think I’ll cancel my ChatGPT account soon, even if it's not in the first place. The habit and some of their features will still lead me to use them for a while, too.
Midjourney
Image generation was widely adopted right after ChatGPT’s release. At first, DALL·E 2 was made accessible through ChatGPT’s interface, and AI-generated images quickly spread everywhere.
Later, MidJourney was introduced, and massive hype was created. New roles such as “MidJourney Prompt Writer” were even seen, similar to today’s prompt engineering trend.
A powerful GPT-4o model for image generation has been released by OpenAI, however, Still, MidJourney’s features and creative flexibility are regarded as more interesting and adaptable.
Also, we’ve customGPT to write better image-generation prompts, Abidin Dino AI, which is available for our paid subscribers.
Elevenlabs
Now, OpenAI’s text-to-speech is incredibly powerful. You can use it in most cases. I’ve been using it for a couple of years to generate audio summaries of the AI summaries in Weekly AI Pulse.
But when I tried ElevenLabs last month, I was amazed at how realistic the voices sounded. You can clone your own voice or replicate a voice you like to generate audio recordings.
All in all, it makes text-to-speech so customizable that it’s impossible to ignore. For example, let’s generate this passage with ElevenLabs using Burt Reynolds’ voice.
Quillbot
English is not my mother language. That’s why I sometimes struggle to express my thoughts and rephrase some of my sentences because I might be using common sayings from my native language.
Also, some of my sentences could be complex, and readers often prefer to read simple sentences. That’s where I needed a rephrasing tool. Of course, you might think that it can be done by using ChatGPT, and you might be right, but Quillbot offers an excellent interface.
For instance, let me change this paragraph;
You can click and change the word you want to rephrase. There are options to customize your given text.
Standard, Fluency, Humanize, Formal, Academic, Simple … or even Custom.
Final Thoughts
While some of the AI tools might not be your choice, in this case, I’ve tried to introduce the AI tools that I use daily and explain some of their evolutions as far as I could see.
