he Arrest Lottery; Three Crimes, Three Realities
Justice in Chicago isn’t blind; it’s selective. After analyzing 182,111 crime incidents from 2025, I discovered something shocking: if you deal drugs, you’re almost guaranteed to get arrested (94.75%). If you steal a car? You have a 93% chance of walking free.
In this project, we used three analytical approaches to decode Chicago’s crime patterns:
